Exams - Teacher Assessed Grades (TAG's)

Please refer to the other section at the top on this page which covers Appeals information, together with a copy of the document recently issued to students and parents which can be found at the bottom of the Exam information page entitled “Summer 2021 Information for Candidates (Results, Appeals, Certificates)”

As you know, students’ grades have been determined by schools and colleges this year as the Government believes that teachers are best placed to do this.

Arriving at Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs)

Students who would have been sitting exams this summer have been through a thorough process to determine a final Teacher Assessed Grade (TAG).  At every stage throughout the process students have been provided with information about how their grades were to be determined, so they can be assured the process has been fairly and consistently applied.

Reasonable adjustments, exam access arrangements and special consideration have been logged and considered, where appropriate.

The grades have been through internal quality assurance processes involving the teachers, Subject Leaders, Faculty Leaders as well as the Senior Leadership Team before being submitted to the awarding bodies by the deadline of 18th June 2021.

Please see below for links to two different documents (one for Year 11 and one for Year 13) which provide additional details regarding the evidence which has been used across the Academy, in order to award the Teacher Assessed Grades (TAG's).

For ease of reference, we have also included a link to the Academy Centre Policy which has been put in place this academic year (this is the same version as the one already within the policy section).
