We are delighted to announce that the Year 11 Prom will take place on Thursday 25th June 2026, from 6.00pm–11:00pm at The Pumping House, Brake Lane, Ollerton, Newark NG22 9HQ. The Prom officially begins at 6:00 pm, but students may start arriving from 5:30 pm onwards. Parents/carers are welcome to watch the arrivals and see the students in their outfits. Please do not arrive before 5:30 pm, as staff will not be on site to supervise arrivals. The evening ends at 11:00 pm, and we kindly ask that you make arrangements for your child to be collected promptly at that time. The Elizabethan staff will not be responsible for students after 11:00 pm. The Pumping House will provide a Street Food Buffet, with plenty of seating available. Students will be asked to inform us of any food allergies or dietary requirements closer to the date so we can notify the venue. They are excellent at catering for all needs. A professional photographer will be present throughout the evening, offering both formal and fun photo opportunities. Photos (8”x6”) will be available to purchase on the night for a small cost, with prices confirmed nearer the time. We have a strict no-alcohol policy. Students may purchase a range of soft drinks from the bar. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all areas. Anyone consuming alcohol, smoking, or arriving in an unfit state will be asked to leave. Similarly, any student who behaves inappropriately or brings The Elizabethan Academy into disrepute will be asked to leave, and refunds will not be issued. Likewise, if students do not adhere to school behaviour expectations between now and then, they will be asked not to attend the prom, and refunds will not be given. While this is a traditional prom, there is no expectation for families to spend excessively on outfits or transport. We simply ask that students wear smart or formal attire and arrive safely. Parking and Arrival Information In line with the venue’s policy, parking and arrivals will be strictly monitored by security staff: • Students arriving in their own vehicles will follow a one-way system through the venue grounds. • Vehicles will stop halfway along the route, so students can exit and have their photo taken by our brilliant professional photographer. • After photos, vehicles will continue through and exit the venue. • Parking is limited, and visitors should expect to be temporarily blocked in during the arrival period. • We strongly encourage car sharing among friends and family to reduce congestion. • Security staff will monitor parking and arrivals. Any verbal abuse towards security staff will not be tolerated, and individuals will be asked to leave the premises. • For safeguarding reasons, visitors attending arrivals will not be permitted to purchase drinks from the venue bar. The bar is strictly for students and staff on duty. The Prom ticket price is £47.50. A £17.50 non-refundable deposit is required by 31st January 2026 to secure your child’s place, with the remaining £30 payable in instalments by the end of April 2026. Please note the deposit is to also secure the venue, therefore this is immediately sent off and refunds for the deposit is not available. Payments will be made via our online system, Ipay, which goes live on Monday 24th November 2025. Invitations will be created and sent to Year 11 students in the new year. The ticket price includes exclusive venue hire, arrival mocktail, street food buffet, DJ, decorations, and plenty of photo opportunities. Our aim is to make this a special, memorable celebration of your child’s achievements. We look forward to an amazing evening for our students!
