The Elizabethan Academy Celebrates Exceptional GCSE Results for the Class of 2025
The Elizabethan Academy is proud to announce a significant improvement in GCSE and vocational outcomes for the Class of 2025, with results rising across every key measure.
This year’s achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of students, staff, and families, with the academy recording its strongest performance in recent years. There has been a marked year-on-year improvement in both student attainment and progress, with many more students securing at least a grade 5 in both English and Maths.
Attainment 8 has risen significantly, and core subjects including English, Maths, and Science have seen notable gains. Strong performances across the wider curriculum further highlight the breadth of success achieved by this year’s cohort.
Principal Tom Crowther said: "We are immensely proud of our students and staff for these exceptional results. This success is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and ambition of our school community. It is wonderful to see a significant improvement in year-on-year results. Quite simply, our students have performed brilliantly, achieving qualifications that give them many more opportunities in the future. We are committed to continuing this upward trajectory in results and ensuring every student achieves their full potential."
Coupled with the significant improvement in A-Level outcomes, these results reinforce The Elizabethan Academy’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Mr. Dainty, Senior Assistant Principal for Sixth Form, added: “I’m delighted with the growing number of sixth form students who will be joining us in September. This is due to the wide range of subjects and opportunities that we offer at The Elizabethan, which will support them in their future career aspirations. We look forward to welcoming our new Year 12 students in September.”
Mr Mason, Head of Year 11, said ‘‘I am incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results today. These results are a testament to the hard work, resilience, and determination shown by each and every student throughout their time with us.
This cohort has faced unique challenges and yet has risen to meet them with courage and commitment. Whether students are moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or other exciting pathways, they do so with a strong foundation and the confidence that comes from knowing they gave their best.
I would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teaching staff, support teams, and families, whose encouragement and guidance have been instrumental in helping our students reach this milestone.
Mr Pritchard, Pastoral Leader for Year 11 added ‘‘Today is a celebration of your journey, your growth, and your success. We are proud of you and excited to see what your future holds. Congratulations!’’
The Academy is also pleased to share the thoughts of students on this special day, celebrating their hard work and future aspirations.

Joe : “I’m really happy with my results. I’m probably most proud of Physics as I got a grade 9. I’ll be staying here to study Maths and Geography.”
Alex : “I’m happy too. I got a 7 in DT and a 7 and 8’s in subjects. It feels good to see the effort pay off.”
