Focus on the Brilliant: 04/10/2013

In the first issue of this periodic round up of 'brilliant' news, we look at further football success for The Elizabethan and some fantastic examples of leadership in the community.

Last night, our Year 9 football team became U14 Bassetlaw Champions.  Congratulations to Scott Dobson, Charlie Everitt, Liam Marsh, Jake Stout, Callum Amendola, Dominic Harrison Greaves and Josh Paul on a great achievement.  We are very proud of you.

Event Diary of School Sports Star Emma Dakin

Sports star Emma Dakin in Year 9 recently travelled to Birmingham to represent Nottinghamshire in the English Schools Championships. Once again she represented the Academy admirably and even found time to record her experience here for us.

Non Uniform for Sport Relief

Wednesday 14th March is a non-uniform day to raise money for Sports Relief.

On Wednesday 14th March, as part of the Sports Relief activities at The Elizabethan High School, we welcomed Team Ireland who led students through the Sports Relief Mile.

The Elizabethan has been granted ‘Leadership Academy Status’ in recognition of their outstanding work within the areas of leadership and volunteering.

Cross Country Results - Friday 13th January

This year the Elizabethan High School was the host for Bassetlaw Cross Country Championships on Friday 13th January at the Retford Rugby Club.
