Staff and students at the Elizabethan Academy were overjoyed last week to hear that the work of their Expressive Arts department had been recognised by Arts Council England.

Creative in the Community - Nativity Special

A group of GCSE Art students worked with students from Sturton Le-Steeple Primary School to design and paint a backdrop for their nativity play last week.

Recently pupils across the school have been directing their artistic talents towards festive subjects.  These decorations were made by pupils across the Key Stages and are now on display at St. Swithun's Church in Retford.

Another fine example of pupils contributing to the local community.

The BTEC Acting group laid on an Expressive Arts Job Fair for year 7 and 8’s in the Drama rooms, showcasing a variety of jobs available in Expressive Arts.
