The Elizabethan Academy

We have been successful in our application to become an Academy from April 2012. As a ‘good’ school, we were able to become an ‘stand-alone’ academy and governors chose to retain our current school ethos and the values that we share with our parents and our local community.

Being an Academy brings new funding, new flexibility and new opportunities to support the students in our school and in our Family of schools.

Parents and students will not notice many differences in the day-to-day running of the school. Our admissions criteria has not changed and we will continue to be an inclusive school where EVERYONE is encouraged to use their talents and to experience success.

The students have chosen our new motto:

The Elizabethan Academy…………

                                                 Where everyone’s

We have also chosen a new logo and school badge for the blazer, for new students joining us in September. Governors did not want to incur any cost to parents, so students in the current Yr8-11 can continue to wear their current blazers until they need to be replaced. New blazers will be available in June from our suppliers K and H Sports and Uniform Direct.

As the E-Academy, we will to continue strive for Excellence and be proud of our students’ achievements.
